Let it snow!

Well hello everyone - I hope you are enjoying the snow!
You wont believe me but we set out our project plans about 10/12 weeks in advance so there is no way we could have predicted this weather but how apt our challenge is this week!
We want to see your projects for "let it snow!" - Now we know most people will have already made all their Christmas cards but is there someone you have forgotten that you need to post out to but will not now receive it before Christmas? Or have you run out of gift tags for your pressies and need a few more? Or do you just want to play along with us again this week?
This challenge will last 2 weeks as we all have a short break for Christmas but the good news is we are sponsored by The Craft Barn! £15 to spend on line for the lucky random winner of this challenge - so come on crafters - what an incentive to play along this week.
As usual our team have been creative and varied with their projects - If you want to find out more about them just click on the name you would like to visit to be whisked right there!

Jolly Old St Nick

Did anyone see the programme last week -Christmas Tales - Legends of Santa with Fiona Phillips? It was on late which was a shame but I was glued to the TV soaking up the fascinating facts about this very special man and how he has changed over time to be what we know him as today - I was even more amazed to learn that one of my fav santa stamps is actually an illustration from the 19th century from an artist who has contributed massively to the changes he has under gone - Brilliant stuff - I hope it is repeated!
Anyway - our project was set long before that as of course we are all familiar with this famous chap and the wonders he brings on Christmas Eve to those who truly believe - i do so hope you are a Believer!
So after celebrating his birthday on the 6th December - we are dedicating this weeks challenge to him too. You know the drill - any project as long as St Nick features in it!

As always we have a fabulous Guest Designer Suzanne

Fabulous Suzanne thanks for playing along. More about Suzanne on the side bar!

Festival of Light

Hi everyone, wow what a fantastic response to last weeks challenge, some amazing entries and such talent! We were blown away with your artwork!

This weeks challenge is more about blowing out than blowing away.
Everyone is so fucussed on Christmas here in blogland that we thought we'd have a look at what people in other countries do at this time of year and it's been wonderful to discover how many Light Festivals take place in so many cultures all over the world. The Christian faith has many forms of light festival in different cultures all based around Advent, but there is also the Jewish festival of Hannuka, the Hindu Diwali, Loi Krathong in Thailand, to name but a very few and most take place around this time of year.

So here's our little contribution to a celebration of light.

We'd love you to have a go at producing a project of any sort with the theme of light. As always this can be interpreted in any way you wish and can celebrate a religious festival or be any other interpretation. We can't wait to see how varied your ideas are

In the meantime here are the shining offerings from the Design Team.

Without further ado it's time to announce the winner of last weeks challenge

And this week the winning number, generated at random is ............................................

Number 23
Heaney

Drop us a mail at TT if you're interested in doing a guest Designer Hot Spot for us.
We'll be popping by your blogs to see what you've made of a Festival of Lights
